Combine Training
NFL Combine and Draft Preparation Program
The National Football League has implemented the NFL Combine and All-Star Games as a final recruiting tool for team selections. This is an opportunity for each athlete to prove to team owners, general managers, player personnel and coaches how physically and mentally prepared he is to play in the NFL. A player’s stock is hugely dependent on the result of the NFL Combine and All-Star game. Power Train understands the costs and rewards of these standings: athletes have millions of dollars at stake. With that much on the line, players realize the importance of preparing for the NFL Combine. It is the biggest test of their lives and a one time, 3-day interview for a job in the NFL. One-tenth of a second slower in the 40-yard dash, a lapse in physical strength, or poor composure during the NFL Combine interview can make the difference between being drafted in the first round or the third round, equating to a loss of millions of dollars in contract value.
At Power Train, our NFL Combine and Draft Preparation Program is designed specifically for the potential draft pick to enhance his performance during the physical and mental tests of the NFL Combine, All-Star Game and NFL workouts. This intensive performance sports training program replicates exactly all the tests and position-specific drills each athlete will face during the Combine and individual team workouts, while maximizing the athlete’s potential to perform at a superior level during the All-Star Games. The goal for each athlete is to master all of the tests of the Combine and make a lasting impression with NFL team affiliates.
Unlike other programs where facilities have 40-60 athletes training in a group setting, we keep our NFL Combine program limited in number to ensure that the proper amount of attention is given to the individual in order to maximize performance, just like our current NFL clients receive. This year our NFL Combine personal training will be held in our new facilities in Pittsburgh and Central PA.
